The American Cancer Society (ACS) is kicking off Cancer Prevention Study-3, a nationwide drive enrolling at least 300,000 people throughout the country for a long-term health study to look at who gets cancer and how it might be prevented. Several large companies are stepping up to recruit their employees to take part in this study. GM is one of the corporations involved and cancer survivor Melissa Howell is spearheading the GM effort.
Take a look at the video to see how cancer impacted Melissa and why she is willing to step up and encourage others to participate in this historic research project.

I signed up for the CPS-3 study and got my sister in Ohio to as well. I lost my mother two years ago to pancreatic cancer just five months after she was diagnosed. We must do all we can to advance research to prevent these late stage diagnoses and find a cure once and for all.
