Corvette aficionados worldwide anxiously awaited the reveal of the next-generation of the car. On January 13, 2013, thousands of journalists, public officials, and internet viewers saw it roll into public view for the first time. They weren’t the first to see it, though. The people who helped develop, design, engineer, and build the 2014 Corvette Stingray were invited to a special preview event earlier that day in appreciation of the work they put into this special car. Check out the video for a look at the event and hear what some of the employees had to say afterward.

The all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray’s provocative exterior styling is as functional as it is elegant; every line, vent, inlet and surface has been optimized to enhance the car's overall performance.
Without doubt, the new Corvette is challenging for the title of “best sportscar on the market”; the other competitor is obviously Porsche 911. But by an historical point of view, for me the Corvette C7 will be the heir of the Corvette C4, which actual market value is good for hard discount – as the previous C6 is the heir of the unforgettable C3.
I think in the 2034 people will have forgotten the C7, great car for the next five/six years.
The Chevrolet engineers have really out done themselves. They have engineered and put into production, the world’s ONLY true Sports Car. The best part about it is – “Made in America”
It was a proud moment to be there at the employee reveal. 3 1/2 years of selecting datums, creating tolerance studies, and approving fixtures came together at that moment in time. That red ‘Vette came down onto the turntable and promted our standing ovation. As a Dimensional Engineer, I wouldn’t want to work for any other company than the mighty Chevrolet. As American as apple pie!
It’s nice to see that GM brought in all those employees to see the reveal even if it was a dress rehearsal. For most, it was the first time seeing the new Corvette. Congratulations and thanks to all those who worked so hard to bring us the C7 Corvette.
Great job to the design teams in all aspects of the new corvette, it is beautiful. Also great job to the plants ( Stamping, Bodyshop, Paint and Assembly ) these teams work hard at bringing what the engineers create and they make it happen. It is a beautiful car !
Yea Baby!!
We are back in the game!!
Go GM!!

I can’t wait to test drive one and see how the new LT1 motor runs. You guys really think it looks like a C4?
